Project Description

The Yekaterinburg consular district is home to a significant Muslim population. Working in close coordination with ETC, the EL Fellow will be responsible for ELT teacher training across the vast Urals region, to support public affairs programming related to education and English teaching. The primary institution will be the Ministry of Education Institute for the Development of Regional Education (IRRO). Secondary institutions will include the Teacher Training College and the International Relations Institute. At IRRO, the EL Fellow will give seminars and workshops to teachers from the surrounding Sverdlovsk region, covering topics such as methodology, civics education, cross-cultural issues, and American studies. The EL Fellow will support ECA USG funded exchange program alumni.
