Project Description
State Institute for Islamic Studies (IAIN) Antasari aims to improve its language instruction, management, and institutional infrastructure. The EL Fellow will assist in developing the English language program by engaging in the following activities and projects: teach courses in the English Department; be a guest speaker for English Conversation Club and Masters classes; present workshops and assess the training program for the faculty; participate in a jury for speech contests, debates, poetry contests, etc.; and assist with program assessment and research projects.
Project Objectives
IAIN Antasari wishes to raise the standards for English language instruction and motivate teachers and students to study and practice English. It would also like to develop good instructional practices for its non-English Department faculty and improve its image at the national level.
About the Host Institution IAIN Antasari was established in 1964 and focuses on higher education in Islamic studies. The EL Fellow will work in the English Department (Faculty of Education) and in the Centre for Language Service. |
