Project Description
The Vocational Education Development Center (VEDC) Jakarta is a teacher training center for the Ministry of National Education which develops the curriculum and materials for public high schools and vocational schools. The EL Fellow is needed to implement the following projects: design curriculum and materials for the training program; teach English classes; train high school teachers; assess programs; and participate in research projects related to the training program. The Center aims to improve the language proficiency and methodology skills of its participating trainees.
Project Objectives
To improve English language proficiency of participants; to improve teaching skills of participants; and to improve quality of the training program.
About the Host Institution
VEDC is a center in the Ministry of National Education which provides in-service training to high school teachers. It is involved in the curriculum and materials development for the public high schools and it assists with the management and training in vocational schools.
