Project Description
Universitas Bengkulu has an English Department with 31 English language instructors. The EL Fellow is requested to teach 18 hours/week to the university students; develop activities in the Self Access Center (2 hours/week); assist in materials development (8 hours/week); and help with the English Club (8 hours/week). In addition, the EL Fellow will conduct 8 methodology workshops during the 10-month assignment.
Project Objectives
To motivate the students and teachers to learn and practice English; to improve the quality of services; and to provide effective teacher training.
About the Host Institution
Universitas Bengkulu has a Self Access Center and an English Department with three sections: English for university students; English for the public, including classes in conversation, TOEFL preparation; and English for children.
