Project Description
The EL Fellow will work in the ELT department of Cukurova University in southern Turkey in Adana. The Fellow will teach no more than four preps per semester (four different courses) to total no more than 20 contact hours per week. Preference will be for a Fellow who could teach graduate level courses such as Methodology, Theoretical Linguistics, Social Linguistics, project design or syllabus design. Additional responsibilities may include facilitating teacher training seminars for in-service teachers in the department. The Fellow will also consult with, support, and assist the teacher of the English Access Microscholarship program in the area. The Access program is one in which non-elite secondary school students are provided free English language lessons outside their regularly scheduled school timetable. One of the program's goals is to expose students to American style education and culture.
