Host Institution Latvian Judicial Training Center Project Description
The EL Fellow will design an English knowledge evaluation test for judges and conduct training for the Latvian Judicial Training Center (LJTC) personnel on how to use the test and interpret the results. The Fellow will also design a curriculum, lesson plans, and develop materials for different levels of knowledge (starting from upper beginner to upper intermediate level) and teach 20 hours per week (16 hours in Riga and 4 hours in Valmiera). The Fellow will organize English language courses for judges in the Vidzeme region for a group of up to 12 judges. The duration of one course (per participant) will be150 hours. Each participant will be evaluated and a progress report made after the first 60 teaching hours. |
