Host Institution Philippine Normal University Project Description
The EL Fellow will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the English Department at Philippine Normal University (PNU) in Manila. The Fellow will assist the department in training future and current English teachers. The Fellow will provides in-service training for English teachers from throughout the Philippines and, on a nationwide basis, assist with the development of English curricula, instructional materials and tests. In addition, the EL Fellow will help develop the curriculum for a new degree program in TESOL, and contribute to the English Department's faculty development program for instructors at PNU's Manila and Mindanao campuses. The Fellow will travel regularly to PNU's Mindanao branch and help train teachers from that region.
