Project Description
The EL Fellow will assist the staff of the English Language Support Unit (ELSU) at the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) in developing a competency-based syllabus for each of the three core English courses taught at RUPP.  If time permits, the Fellow will also assist in the development of other competency-based syllabi for the English-language elective courses.   While at RUPP, the Fellow will: advise ELSU staff on how to incorporate additional "English for Academic Purposes" (EAP) into the core English-language courses; assist with staff development and conduct training sessions for ELSU staff as appropriate; serve as a mentor to new teachers entering the ELSU program; teach one English-language elective course on "Teaching Methodology;" and conduct 2-day training workshops for English teachers at the six Regional Teacher Training Centers (RTTC).
