Project Description
The EL Fellow will teach at the rural campus of the Unidad Académica Campesina (UAC) at the Bolivian Catholic University in Tiwanaku. The Fellow will design a curriculum to teach beginning level English. The emphasis will be on basic communication skills, English for tourism, English for business, and introduction to American culture. Also, the Fellow will live and work three days in Tiwanaku and spend the rest of the week in La Paz. While in La Paz, the Fellow will teach a class for indigenous students from the Catholic University. The Fellow will also train other English teachers from the La Paz Binational Center to expand English teaching to other UACs.
