Project Description
The Fellow will help to: 1) help local teachers create a curriculum for English studies at ISERI; 2) teach several classes per week at ISERI so that the local teachers can observe; 3) share teaching and classroom management ideas with the local teachers in day-to-day conversation; offer to observe local teachers’ classes and provide relevant support; 4) teach some – not all – of the classes for Ministry of Culture civil servants, including the administrators at ISERI (local teachers should teach remaining classes); 5) speak primarily in English to the local teachers and as much as possible to other ISERI faculty and students interested in learning English; consider organizing an English conversation group; and 6) lead a monthly TEFL activities workshop at the American Corner for approximately 20 teachers who register.
